Checklist for your Fishing Charter/Typical day

Be ready to leave between 5am and 7am behind Whakatane Information centre.
Talk to the skipper (Mick) about the fish you wish to target
Watch weather forecast prior to trip to gauge weather
Please ring skipper (Mick) 1-2 evenings before the trip to check weather forecast. Between 5pm and 7pm is good

Bring enough ready-made breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks
NO BANANAS on board (no banana cake! LOL)
Wear clothing and footwear you are comfortable in
Bring sunhat, sunglasses, sun-block and water and snacks
Keep a chilly bin in the car for any fish you wish to keep
Mick will provide some ice for your catch
The deckie may fillet your fish if requested for small charge
You can arrange to have some of your fish smoked locally
Coffee provided on board
Separate Toilet available on board
Mick provides good gear to suit the fish you are targeting
Take your fish frames home or donate to locals
